750 × 400Dodge has been tight-lipped about its upcoming 2022 models, but we were finally able to get some information about the new Dodge Durango coming next year. Here’s what we know so far about its performance specs, interior amenities, tech features, and safety aids.

Power and Performance

The 2022 Dodge Durango has several engines to pick from. The base is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, but you can also upgrade to one of these engines:

  • 5.7-liter V8 engine: 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 6.4-liter V8 engine: 475 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine: 710 horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque

All of these engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available. In addition to fantastic acceleration, this new Dodge also supplies a very comfortable ride.

Comfort Amenities

While previous versions of the Dodge Durango came standard with two rows, new models only come in three-row setups. With a second-row bench seat, you can fit eight people, and that drops to seven with captain’s chairs. Standard features include cloth upholstery and power-adjustable front seats, while heated and ventilated front seats and Nappa leather can be added.

Tech and Safety

The Dodge Durango comes with many standard tech features, including an infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, four USB ports, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, and satellite radio. Upgrades include a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a rear-seat entertainment system. As for safety, a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are all standard.
